Health Testing

At Front Porch Goldens, we have committed to only creating puppies from our healthiest dogs.

We ensure this by health testing all of our dogs and making our breeding decisions based on that information.

  1. DNA testing through Embark

  2. OFA and/or PennHip Hip

  3. OFA Eye

  4. OFA Heart

  5. OFA Elbows

If a maturing dog does not pass one of these tests, we pass on having a litter with that dog, and the dog is neutered or spayed.

Retired dogs

Our dogs are retired at a young age and continue living in their homes. The guardian families take on permanent ownership of their dog at this time. We do not need to rehome retired adult dogs, as they are already in their loving homes!
